THE FOUNDER

Capt. John Diakogiannis founded Ships Total Care (STC) in 2018

Born in Chios, Greece into a family with a long tradition in shipping. His father, Captain Stamatios Diakogiannis, was awarded with the longest maritime service award (32 years) in 1976. Capt. John's own maritime service began in 1980, as an apprentice deck officer, and ended in 1996 as a Captain. At that time he became a Port Captain in Ceres Hellenic Shipping Enterprises and continued his service in the office. Since then, he has worked in some of the largest shipping companies in Greece as a Port Captain.

From 1996 until 2004 in Ceres Hellenic Shipping Enterprises (present name: GasLog LNG Services), a large traditional company based in Piraeus, as a Port Captain with specialty in maintenance. Then, from 2004 until 2008 in Stelmar Shipping and OSG Ship Management, Inc. (an American company), again as a Port Captain with specialty in maintenance. From 2008 until 2018 in Marine Management Services M.C. (member of the Callimanopoulos Group of Companies), again as a Port Captain with specialty in maintenance.

As an honest and hardworking person, Capt. John earned the respect of his colleagues and established himself in the shipping field. His passion about the sea and his long experience led him to decide to start this new endeavor, which had always been a dream.
